The 2ZL LED Optimised slitlamp from Takagi benefits from an innovative new design. No cables are exposed and even the power supply cable and cables for connecting imaging systems can be concealed; the product colour has also been updated to aesthetically improve the slitlamp.
Perhaps the best advantage of the 2ZL slitlamp, is the LED light source. Every aspect of the eye, which may have been difficult to examine with conventional light sources, can now be seen more clearly; due to the peak wavelength of the LED light source being that which is most visible to the human eye.
This completely new model has a dedicated LED light source and a colour temperature of 3500 K, providing brighter and sharper light than its halogen equivalents. The 1-element high-luminance LED also results in a more uniform light source than other 4-element LEDs.
Overall there is a reduction in the characteristic blue Light of an LED; the projected light is soft and easy on the patients’ eyes, by reducing the blue band spectrum of light.
Users can select either, standard parallel binocular tubes or converging binocular tubes for ease of use.
