The Royal College President Carrie MacEwan and Chair of the Scientific Committee Mike Burden presented the award at the Congress in recognition of Carleton’s innovative stand design and professional presentation which highlighted the patient journey through the ophthalmic clinic with emphasis on the new technology available from the various companies they represent.
The stand design permitted unhindered viewing and generated considerable interest in the latest instrumentation and furniture on show.
Particular interest was shown in the new IRIDEX Cyclo G6 Glaucoma Laser System with MicroPulse Technology, new OCT’s from CANON and Optopol, LED Slit Lamp with Digital Imaging from Takagi and Day-Case Operating Beds from UFSK.
“This was without doubt the most successful and enjoyable RCO we have attended” commented Nick Fitrzyk, Managing Director of Carleton. “We are thrilled to have been honoured with this award for the 3rd time in our history. The Company is also very respectful that it is in memory of Desmond Wright who laid the foundations approaching three decades ago to make the exhibition the success it is today”.
